| IPMS Stratford first met in 1986,
to foster, promote and encourage scale modeling. Aviation, Automotive,
Armor, Ship, Figure and virtually all other forms of modeling as a hobby
and art form have been represented by the membership. The club chartered
as a member of IPMS USA, the International
Plastic Modelers' Society, and chose to honor local aviation pioneer
Igor Sikorsky in our chapter name. Our membership comes from a wide range
of backgrounds with a broad range of interests, teens to retirees, all
brought together by a common interest and enjoyment of scale modeling in
its many forms. IPMS Stratford members have built for the Smithsonian,
for awards at National and regional competitions, and for historical and
museum displays. Most of all we build because we enjoy experiencing all
that diversity in modeling has to offer.
Our Annual show and contest was held on Sunday, October 7th at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Milford, CT. For further information and results see the link below. |
