IPMS Stratford 20th Anniversary Special Awards

In November 1986 IPMS Stratford held its first regular meeting in the VFW hall in Stratford Connecticut. There were, by most accounts, about 60 modelers in the smaller of two rooms in that hall that Saturday night. That initial meeting came about through the work of 5 local modelers who decided to charter a new IPMS chapter several months earlier. Ernie Arroyo, Bob Bracci, Alan Durkota, Nick Tiberio, and Andy Petrahai were the original 5 charter members of IPMS Stratford, the Igor Sikorsky Chapter. Of the original 5 charter members, one, Andy Petrahai, has remained active since the club's inception, and is serving now as the club's First Vice President.

Ray Prokoski presents Andy Petrahai with a gift certificate from Meteor Productions. Andy was chosen as the recipient when the club renewed its charter.

In recognition of his role in the role Andy played in the formation of the club, and his contributions over the last 20 years, he was awarded a gift certificate from Meteor Productions, having been chosen as most deserving member when the club charter was renewed. (Everyone is certain Andy will put it to very good use). Additionally, for being the longest continually active of the original charter members, for having been to almost every meeting since the original meeting of November 2006, and for his willingness to still lend a helping hand when needed, Andy was granted a full membership for life. IPMS Stratford wishes him much happy modeling in the future.

President Mike Gondor awards Andy  a lifetime membership in IPMS Stratford for his 20 years of contributions to our club.
